Read this before applying.

Are you having problems registering? Try these basic trouble-shooting steps:

  1. Make sure your registration email address is typed correctly.
  2. Check your spam folder within your email. Sometimes our confirmation emails get flagged as spam by your provider.
  3. If all else fails please contact Argonaut or Osiris in game for assistance.

We are in the process of testing some new anti-spam features on the site, which on a rare occasion have been known to block legitimate users. Don't be afraid to get a hold of us so we can manually approve your account if this occurs.

How to apply (READ ALL OF THIS)

All applications are private. Only you and Decidedly Uncouth raiders can see your application.

If you are applying for our pvp rank please use the following form:

http://www.decidedlyuncouth.com/foru...pies=1&do=form

Questions or concerns talk to Argo or Osiris in game.

*We raid 7:15pm EST to 11:00pm EST - Monday through Thursday*

Welcome potential applicant!

The first thing you need to know is that we do not like to recruit new people. Our guild has a family atmosphere and with each addition to the guild, we alter that chemistry a little bit. The best way to get into the guild is to know someone who is already a long time member. However, we sometimes have openings for certain classes. This is the best time to apply for the guild.

Don't let that discourage you though. We have been known to make room in the guild for people who put the time and effort into their application to make it stand out.

Our current heroic progression is:
BWD: 6/6 (Full Clear, Realm First Nefarian)
BoT: 2/4 (Heroic Halfus, V&T)
TotFW: 2/2 (Full Clear, Realm First Al'Akir)

WotLK Progression:

ICC 25H: 12/12 (US 140 LK HM)
ICC 10H: 12/12
RS 25H: 1/1
RS 10H: 1/1
Please understand while this is a game we take raiding quite seriously. We have very limited time to accomplish our goals each week, so we need skilled, focused, consistent applicants. Sometimes things will get loud in vent, you might get yelled at, especially if you are terrible at the game. If that's a problem for you please look for another guild.

DO
  • Use the application form linked at the bottom of this post.
  • Follow up with us in game. Talk to a core member or guild leader in game. However if you see us in an instance, please wait until we are out. The application process can take anywhere from a day to a week+ depending on how busy the officers are, and your specific situation. Do not bug us, but a friendly reminder via in game mail is a good way to show you're still seeking an invite.
  • Line up references. This question is on the application for, but we like to reiterate it here. Preferably in our guild or your previous guild. We do ask around about applicants we are interested in, so be prepared.
  • When you decide to apply, register a forum account. Make the username your in game character name. This is very important. If your forum username does not match your in game name, we already hate you for making our life more difficult.
DO NOT
  • Make spelling and grammar errors. It looks bad and reflects on your maturity level. Remember, we don't know you! Your first impression is this application. Put some time into it and get it right.
  • Get lazy and leave sections off of the application form or provide simple one word, one sentence responses. If you are too lazy to complete the application, you're probably going to be too lazy to farm for mats or push new content.
  • Apply for multiple guilds. When you do that, it looks like you're just in it for epics. Like we said above, Decidedly Uncouth has a family atmosphere. We want people who want to be a part of that. Not someone who is just in it for loot.
  • Get lazy and leave sections off of the application form. Yes, we already covered this, but some people can't seem to grasp the concept. If you leave a section off of the template, you are either too lazy or too stupid to complete it. Which does not bode well for your skill as a raider. And be verbose with your answers. It shows you put some thought into the application as well as gives us better answers.
